Valley Heights Locomotive Depot Heritage Museum

Housed in NSW’s oldest working railway roundhouse (1914), this volunteer-run museum brings Blue Mountains rail history to life with steam tram and heritage carriage rides, restored locomotives, model layouts and hands-on exhibits. Usually open the second and fourth Sunday of each month (10am–3pm); book ride times online. Family tickets, a kids’ trail, cafe and shop make it a strong lower-mountains outing near Valley Heights station. Mid-week group and school visits can be arranged.
